Abstract

The palynoassemblage recovered from Athgarh Formation, near Talbast region, Orissa contains 23 genera and 33 species. This assemblage, the first record from the southern part of Athgarh outcrops in the region, is characterized by the dominance of the genus Murospora, and the palynofloral composition, as a whole, shows its affinity with Upper Jurassic Lower Cretaceous palynological assemblages.
